Transport
The matches of the FIH Hockey Pro League will take place at the new Belfius Hockey Arena in Wavre, Belgium.
The preferred way to reach the venue is by public transport. During the 25th, 27th & 28th of June, the immediate area surrounding the stadium will be closed to motorised traffic. Only pedestrians, cyclists, and vehicles with a special permit will be allowed access.
Av. du Centre Sportif 22, 1300 Wavre
This weekend (20 & 21/6), due to the festivities taking place in Wavre city centre, traffic will be heavily disrupted and access to the centre will be limited. For a smooth and stress-free visit, we encourage you to use our “Hockey South” park-and-ride facility. This will help you avoid traffic congestion, parking difficulties, and road restrictions in the city centre.
Looking to avoid traffic on match days? Hop on your bicycle! Bicycle parking is available near the stadium. There will be markers you can follow to get there. Charging electric bikes is not possible at the parking area.
Attention: bicycles parked outside the designated areas will be moved to the official bicycle parking.
Travelling by train is the preferred option to reach the stadium. The nearest station is Wavre, approximately 1.5 km / 15-20 minutes on foot from the stadium. From the station, it’s an easy walk to the venue.
Please note: your event ticket is not valid as a train ticket. For timetables and to purchase tickets, visit the SNCB/NMBS website: https://www.belgiantrain.be.
